I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
